Laptop with preview of client website, Theo a writer and historian

Theo had an incredible log of academic writing and archival work for prestigious institutions, and they were seeking a pivot into the publishing world. After working with a job coach to refine their LinkedIn profile and reframe their deliverables, Theo then came to Ria Tova for succinct, memorable design.

They wanted something that reflected their previous work as an expert in cold war era history, their affinity for silent film, and a love of bauhaus design.

Naomi was moving to the private tutoring world with a very specialized skillset to serve an in-demand population - students who had been “broken” academically due to a lack of support for dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia.

As she described the joy of seeing students experiencing repair, I knew that something inspired by mosaics or kintsugi would match her inspiration in a visual way. A water jug represented her cultural heritage, and also the ability to fill the cups of her students.
